The blog "presentation skills and tips" is very informative and useful for people who are giving presentations and who are yet to give presentations. The PPoints showing "Presentation Skills for Managers" is a treasure for growing managers like me because ppts are one of the most important forms of communication in an organization. The blog says that "content, design and delivery" leads to a great presentation. But what I personally feel is that even though content and design are lacking,it can be compensated with greater delivery. What we deliver finally is what pulls the audience towards you.I have seen many cases among my friends who show and deliver their knowledge inspite of less content in the ppt.But there are cases in which people fill their ppt with so much data and are not able to interpret and deliver it properly. The blog talks about understanding the audience during presentation. If the tone of presentation is monotonous, audience tend to get bored easily. So a prescribed level of voice modulation is preferable.Non-verbal communication is an important part of presentation.A presentation looks lifeless if the speaker does not maintain eye-contact or use hand-gestures.Moreover a person should speak loudly because it catches the attention of the audience.
While preparing ppt, there should be only one concept per slide so that it won't confuse the audience. Also the bullet points should be synchronized. The slides should contain only necessary keywords and phrases.Last but not the least, the author has emphasized on many rehearsals before presentation. The key point everyone should note is that one should not think about presentation during presentation. If one takes care of all these things,he could give an awesome presentation with all confidence and without getting the audience bored!!
Presentation skills are more important in a business. Actually I was feeling very inferior about myself and not courageous at all. At that time I had learn a e-learning course from Fast track tool. It helped me a lot to discover my personal influencing style, and I have learn about the good presentation skills, public speaking.
